Creeping up again: moved to 5,367 (448 Links from 239) sites from Day 44's 5,531 (439 links from 234 sites), an additional 164 notches in the Technorati rankings.

I had an initial goal of just getting back into the approximate range of Get Real's Technorati ranking at the start of the Starting From Zero series. I think the highest ranking for Get Real was around 1,200 last fall, just before I took a soul-searching break from writing at Thanksgiving, and then decide to make a break in my life. In early January, Get Real was around 1,400, and has now -- since I have turned my attentions to /Message -- has fallen to 2,073.
In the past 8 days, /Message has crept up 822 notches. If we round off to 100 day, and there are 42 days remaining in the first 90 days of /Message's existence, I might see an additional 4,000 notches or so, but I think that's a bit much. But with the creativity spurt that has followed this break in my habits -- Advisory Capital, Conversational Index, and Social Architecture posts, for example -- who knows?

well damn you passed me--I used to be in the 5Ks--(now: 6,037 - 632 links from 218 sites); i guess having 200 more links doesn't really matter, eh?). And I've been at the same address since 200-stinking-1.
So I think I need more spurts. Or Frequent Flyer Miles. Please advise.

Jeneane -
The inexorable power laws. It's not just the number of links, it's who makes them that counts, too. The links in from Jarvis and Rubel really make a difference.

Well done, Stowe! Mine hasnât updated yet, darn it, though Technorati has picked up an extra five sites that are linking to me. I wish it would update the figure a bit more frequently so I know how Iâm doing.
