JWT: Social Advertising

SocialadsJWT has developed a bunch of what they are calling Social Ads over that The Huffington Post. Basically these ads feel like YouTube videos, kind of grudgy but artsy. The social element is the handy buttons that allow you to send them (via email or AOL IM) to a friend.

Might be a cool idea, although I think building a better interface to the buddylist (perhaps via a plugin) would be better. Actually, why doesn't the ad know who I am, since I am logged into AIM already? And ultimately, this is only the most trivial aspect of social architecture; only scratching the surface of what social ads might be. What If I could do more than tack on a message to my buddy? What If I could rejigger the ad, or mash it up?
