AIM Buddy Feed
AOL has rolled out a feature that I have been asking for for years. Called Buddy Feeds, the AIM buddy list is used as an RSS reader:

Here's Alan Keister's (of AOL) buddylist with an indicator next to my icon, and since I set up the a buddy feed profile associated with my feedburner RSS feed the various posts are showing at the bottom.
This feature only works with the Triton client on Windows at the moment (hiss). I want this so bad I may break down and buy a MacBook Pro just so I can run Triton on Parallels.

Thanks for the nudge! I think the opportunities here are pretty huge, running from profile/blog updates, to photo updates, to even SMB plays (e.g., feeds from salesforce.com on new items relating to a customer/contact). Major props to Alan and the team. While Triton took a while to bake, it has turned into a great experience with the right open attributes to give it intellectual/community scale.

Oh, you've got a buddy feed. The URL is: http://buddyupdates.aim.com/stoweboyd/rss.xml (substitute 'stoweboyd' for any screenname. You can also set your buddy profile in Adium (http://adiumx.com) in the Account settings section under the Personal tab.
