Joopz
I signed up for a new collaborative tool extending SMS called Joopz. Basically, Joopz is another go at web-based group texting. I created a Joopz account, and then a group involving my partners at Blue Whale Labs. I sent an SMS to their phones using the free Joopz account. They respond to the Joopz-addressed SMS, which leads to a threaded discussion managed at the website.

I like the idea of turning something ephemeral -- a series of SMS exchanges -- into something permanent. But since the Joopz account is for me, alone, the thread is not sharable online. What is needed is to allow access to various people to various threads, like other collaborative solutions.
In many ways, Joopz is trying to do for SMS what 9Cays does for email: it makes a thread into a shared collaborative space. I'd also like to be able to create new threads from my phone, which is similar to the capability that 9Cays has (see this). What I would really like to see is the combination of both 9Cays email and Joopz SMS threads into one solution, really.
More functionality is planned for later in the month, including defining groups and contacts.

How do you cancel a Joopz account? I signed up, and hate it! Takes so long to recieve messages! Even when I'm not signed in to the account! I looked all over the site, and couldn't find a place to cancel, so I emailed all the addresses I could find. So far, no answer. Can you help? E-mail please! Cookimon3@aol.com
