Saw Tim O'Reilly's mention that John Edwards (yes, that John Edwards) is using Twitter. Earlier in the day, Steve Rubel twittered "John Edwards is one of my Twitter followers. That's freaky!".
Now this:
Edwards may be on to something. Jumping onto one of the fastest growing social tools -- Twitter -- as a way to pulse his status to the world... or at least a lot of influential technoid edglings.
I hope that I don't find out that its really not him, that it's really some sock puppet set-up, and it's only some twenty-something volunteer or a PR flack entering the tweets as Edwards rolls along. That would really suck.

Considering the amount of time I waste on Twitter (www.twitter.com/superblue), I'm not sure which concerns me more, the idea of John Edwards paying someone to twitter for him, or the idea of John Edwards twittering instead of uhh...working.

He's following me too, now that I've added him... Whether it's him or not, he's definitely adding back all those who add him, it seems. (Because, honestly... why on earth would Edwards be following ME?)

Don't miss the Twitter Fan Wiki on politicians. I'm sure there'll be more added soon:
