That's a low blow. It was sidelined because the user experience was too complex.

This is great, thanks for the article. Google Reader has such a nice flow to it. I wouldn't be able to skim 2000 articles a month if it weren't for Google Reader. Shared Items are another way to be alerted to what may be relevant to me.

What's nice about this is that on the iPhone Google Reader, the gtalk contact shares are on the top of the list and it's just as fast to skip over duplicates (assuming your buddy list reads AND shares all the same stuff) but so far, I'm having great luck with it and look forward to the finessing they do with it in the future.
