Whoops. Xing (formerly OpenBC), a leading European business networking service, has managed to piss off Tom Rafferty, and probably many other Irish users:

The implication being either a/ UK citizens count for more than Irish ones, or b/ Irish citizens are being included in the UK pool. Both are bad.

Xing is actually running a campaign to get more UK users. They did it with other countries before. I don't know where the problem is.

I think Xing sees Ireland as an own independent country so they did not include Ireland in their UK campaign. Just wait for a special Irish campaign!
