TweetDeck

I caught wind of TweetDeck, a new Twitter client, via Scobleizer and decided to give it a try:

TweetDeck, originally uploaded by Stowe Boyd.

I like the multicolumn approach. The notion of defined groups doesn't interest me much, but the notion of groupings -- collections of people linked by some term they use -- is interesting. TweetDeck allows search terms to resolve into their own columns. Neat.

The small squares with D and R seem to be direct and @ replies; perhaps the F is favorite, but it doesn't work. Clicking on the face of a contact leads to the profile opening in a column, as I did above with Jay Rosen (who honors me by calling me a 'Web thinker').
