This is a subject that has pissed me off for a few years. Traditional journalism TRIES to be fair. They never said it was ACHIEVABLE. They said it was important to TRY.

People who say it is not achievable and so THEREFORE they are not going to TRY anymore piss me off. Also when they say that it's pointless to TRY because it's not achievable.

The holy image of traditional journalism being fair is not about results or axhieavability. It's about the TRYING.

It's not hypocritical to try to achieve something that you know you will always fail at. It's noble. And honest. And courageous. And important. Especially for journalism.
