Unmarketing and the Webful Brand: Somesso, London, 15 May 2009
My friend Andrea Vascellari captured a video of my keynote at the Somesso conference in London last Thursday. It was entitled ‘Unmarketing and the Webful Brand’ pretty much a straightforward exposition of the thoughts in the post of the same name, here.
I think it was well-received. I was a bit shattered by lack of sleep. The night before I was in Manchester, and my hotel room was on the first floor above the lobby, so I was a/ immediately above a disco, and b/ on the street side, listening to loud, rowdy, beer bottle-throwing drunks all night. I then had to catch a 5:05am train to London to get to Somesso. Truly above and beyond the call of duty.
Somesso was great: saw Lee Bryant (third time in two weeks!), Umair Haque (2nd time in two weeks), and a long list of other folks, including Oliver Marks, my partner in crime for the Open Enterprise 2009 study. I faded after mid-afternoon, basically because I couldn’t keep my eyes open from lack of sleep.
