Gtdagenda: Not On My Agenda, You Don’t

Maybe it’s just been a long week, and I am getting crotchety, but I opened this new task manager app, and I was stopped in my tracks by the UI.

Gtdagenda.com, originally uploaded by Stowe Boyd.

Ok. I created a project. Then I wanted to add a task to it, so I clicked on the Task tab at the top. That took me to the screen above.

Then I stopped.

Just too many things on the screen I think. Priorities for tasks as round black balls with numbers in them? Gradients. Print and email icons. Major navigational elements at the topmost bar of color, button to create a new task embedded in a second bar of color, feuding fonts, ai-yi-yi-yi.

Maybe I will revisit some other day, but I can’t imagine looking at this interface fifteen times a day to fiddle with my to-do list.
