Scoble Is With Me On Twitter Pro Email Integration
A reader, Laura, sort of misunderstood Scoble’s dislike of direct messaging in Twitter (see Scoble Doesn’t Like Twitter’s Direct Messages):

If Scoble doesn’t like getting dms, he should unfollow the people he doesn’t want to hear from. You can only send a dm to someone if they are following you - the system works really nicely that way, in fact. A decent way to decide whether to follow someone is whether you would be comfortable receiving a direct message from them.

Laura, you didn’t get it. I do want to DM. I just need “pro” features. Stowe is onto something. I would TOTALLY pay for a set of “pro” features, just like I pay for “pro” version of Flickr. What you don’t get is lots of people send me DM’s, but aren’t following me, so I can’t respond to them. The system is totally broken and is very poorly designed. Just because you don’t use the features doesn’t mean anything. You might not use cruise control in your car, but that doesn’t mean that lots of other people don’t find that feature useful.
