Movino: S60 Nokia Phones Can Be Used As WebCam On Mac OS X
I was hoping that I could find a way to use my new n82 as a webcam. Specifically, I wanted a way to webcam the screen of my Mac, which can’t be done with the built-in iSight. I came across this post — iSight replaced by Nokia N95: Movino — that led me to Movino’s solution.
I installed some software on my Mac and some on my n82, and easily was able to use the n82 as a webcam, via bluetooth, for example with Skype:
.flickr-photo { border: solid 2px #000000; }.flickr-yourcomment { }.flickr-frame { text-align: left; padding: 3px; }.flickr-caption { font-size: 0.8em; margin-top: 0px; }

However, I have been unable to get Flash-based web applications — like Mogulus, for example — to sense the N82 as a valid device.
The Movino software also allows me to stream video from my phone directly to the harddrive on my Mac. This application is a bit less interesting, considering that on one hand I can record on the n82 and stream it over later, or I can use services like Qik or Flixwagon to stream directly and live to the web.
But, all things considered, Movino fills a gap in my toolkit for video, and I am happy that it seems to work so well and so simply.
