SharaKarasic Twitter Stream For Short Attention Span Theater

SharaKarasic live twittered the Short Attention Span Theater yesterday, where I was one of a group — Jeremiah Owyang, Brian Solis, Greg Narain, and me — that was addressing the growth and future of micromedia, and she @replied various comments I made:

@stoweboyd: microblogging is fracturing the blogosphere. discussion moving off blogs, to twitter, friendfeed, etc. #web20expo

@stoweboyd Micromedia potentially very big for enterprises to coordinate what’s going on w/in businesses #web20expo

@stoweboyd Project teams could follow a project and have it streamed. We will see more of this. #web20expo

sharakarasic at 23-04-2008 22:51

@stoweboyd TwitPitch: Will not take more email pitches. Asked for Twit of “escalator” pitch. Got some amazing pitches. #web20expo

@stoweboyd Flow apps change sociological ways of interaction. As more ppl use, benefits go up. Can change patterns. #web20expo

sharakarasic at 23-04-2008 23:12

@stoweboyd “I’ve given up explaining it” like telling a kid not to touch a hot radiator - “you have to burn your hand” #web20expo

sharakarasic at 23-04-2008 23:15

@stoweboyd Open discourse, you can see ppl’s presence. #web20expo

The coolest thing about the session, which is not indicated by this tweet stream, is that Gregarious Narain (@gregarious) and I dreamed up a new presentation application, sort of derived from my experience a few weeks ago (see Thoughts For Tonight’s Tweetup), where I created a presentation using Twitter. We dreamed up a way to actually incorporate Twitter into the presentation at Web 2.0 Expo yesterday, and Greg implemented it over the weekend! I will do a detailed write up soon, but the skinny is that the panelists and the people can participate in the presentation being shown in real time: Tweets can be directed to a Twitter account created for the session, and they are presented on the screen. Topics can be suggested, and images can be offered up for the background. Really really cool stuff. Greg and I are going to productize and make it available to others, under the name Front Channel. More to follow.
