Barcelona Calling!
I spent a week in Barcelona a few weeks ago, at the World Mobile Congress, a time when the city was awash in foreigners (like me), so I didn’t really get a chance to learn much about the tech scene there.
The good news is Barcelona’s tech scene, or part of it, is coming to viisit us, here in San Francisco:
[from Barcelona Tech Bridge To Silicon Valley]
When: 4/28, 7 p.m.
Where: 111 Minna, San FranciscoWe are excited to announce the Innovation and Technological Bridge to Silicon Valley and Boston tour organized by The Barcelona Chamber of Commerce, Barcelona Activa and the International Economic Relations of the Barcelona City Council.
From April 27 to April 30, nineteen of Spain’s most innovative IT companies, including start-ups and other leaders in Spain’s technology revolution, will tour Silicon Valley – networking with the technology community and offering hot opportunities for partnerships and investment.
During their visit, company leaders will meet with investors, strategic partners, customers, entrepreneurs and industry leaders in a mix of private one-on-one meetings, roundtable discussions and ad-hoc networking events.
The highlight of the week will be “Do IT with Barcelona,” a networking and cocktail event held at 111 Minna Gallery, 111 Minna St., San Francisco, CA on Monday, April 28. RSVP
I hope they have Catalonian food along with the techies. And maybe I can wrangle another trip to Barcelona, this time not in February.
