A Dopplr Widget I Want

All the fooling around with mobile posting has gotten me thinking. I would like to have a widget generated on each trip I make by Dopplr, so I can grab it and paste it into my blog posts (or even better, have it automatically inserted into every post) showing where I was geographically when I posted.

It might look like this —

lausanne 08-02-17 widget

— and the href would point back to the Dopplr page for that trip. Note that the Dopplr page also includes Flickr photos from the trip, and all sorts of other info. Also, people have to be my friends on Dopplr for them to see this stuff. Sign up to Dopplr and ping me through the service to be friends, if you’d like to see my travels and the tips I am leaving behind on Dopplr.

I will try posting this by hand for a while.

It’s interesting that I couldn’t find a single tool that does anything like this for blog posts. Odd.
