Social Business Edge, A Retrospective
Let me start by thanking everyone that helped with the event:
The sponsors: Dachis Group, Socialtext, Newsgator, Threadbox, and Bantamlive — and especially Fleishman-Hillard Digital for hosting, and the particular indispensable help of Beatriz Garcia and James Robinson of Fleishman-Hillard.
The the guests: Baratunde Thurston, Joshua-Michele Ross, Euan Semple, Jay Rosen, Debi Kleiman, Lee Bryant, John Hagel III, Dion Hinchcliffe, Amanda Mooney, Deanna Zandt, Adina Levin, Jemima Gibbons, Venessa Miemis, Rob Key, and Jamais Cascio, and poor Micah Sifry who was trapped in Germany, and couldn’t make a video.
All the videos are online in the Social Business Edge video gallery.
And my co-host, Sarah Kennon, and volunteers, Cecilia Pineda Feret and Diane Bisgeier.
Thanks too to Livestream, who gaves me a channel to livestream the event; and to Mitch Jacobson and his crew who did a great job with A/V.
The livestream has already had over 90,000 viewed minutes, which was almost 100% during the event (since I haven’t reorganized the videos completely, yet). If the average viewer was on for a single session of 20 minutes, that equates to 4500 viewers.
(I am transitioning to Blip.tv for the archival service for the video, which seems much more geared toward that end.)
If there was ever proof that I need partners to help with Edgewards events it has certainly come in the past week. After the show, I was immediately caught up in the post-show logistics — like mailing back the rented mifi devices, and so on — and then the 140 Characters Conference, where I spoke on Thursday last week. Since then, I have been wrestling with photos and videos, and now I get to start rolling them out.
The videos of the event are online at the Social Business Edge video gallery.
Here’s a short gallery of pictures from the afternoon, when we had a professional photographer. (If anyone wants to send along pictures from the morning, I would be happy to get some.)
